Post-Beach Meal



Following the beach trip today we came home and showered off the incredible amount of sand the kids managed to drag back, then made a meal to share with our first dinner guest here in France, Ross. The dinner was delicious: fresh baguette; two kinds of cheese (one goat--not my cup of tea, but Nathan and Finn thought it was great); olives from the olive vendor in the market down the hill from our apartment; strawberries and melon from the fruit market; zucchini sauteed with bits of local sausage; and a big green salad with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chick peas, and eggs. And, of course, wine and the last of the beach meringue. It was a perfect end to a full and wonderful day.
